About HamMUN

What is HamMUN?

HamMUN - or Hamburg Model United Nations - is a successful  undefinedModel United Nations conference which has been held since 1998. In 2006, the conference moved to the buildings of the University of Hamburg. HamMUN is completely held and organised by undefinedHanseMUN e.V., an independent students' club.

If you have no idea about what Model United Nations is, you can use the link to the undefinedWikipedia article which will give you a first overview. HamMUN is a conference where mostly university students and some high school students from Germany, Europe and even the whole world come together to simulate international politics. Every participant represents one country which can be chosen by himself. You are welcome to have a look at our homepage to get information about HamMUN, the discussed topics and how to apply. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact us.

Last year, about 320 participants met at the HamMUN conference. Most of them were amazed by the wonderful experience they had, many of them will come back this year. But new participants are always welcome! You can apply either alone or with some friends from your University.

The conference is held in English, but you do not have to be a professional speaker to take part and have fun. There is a rules workshop where new participants can learn the required conversation skills.

After you aquired some information or if you are already a little more experienced, you will notice how interesting and charming this conference is. If you have any doubts, take a look at the convincing undefinedpictures of 2006 and undefinedlast year. As you can see, after productive sessions during the day, we have also time for some great parties at night!

We are looking forward to meeting you at HamMUN 2010!
